Terrace railings, a beautiful trellis and arch and a purpose built bookcase.

What a busy year 2016 was! 2017 is not seeing the pace slow down either. We're not complaining!

Here's a sample of the variety of interesting projects that we have been asked to do just before the end of the year.

Warm autumn days saw us working near Montagudet in the lovely Tarn-et-Garonne department. A neat terrace on two levels with steps leading down to the garden requiring some metal railings to replace the slowly rotting wooden ones.

Slowly, over the day, each section of railings was installed.

Railings laid out in sections on the grass, ready to install.

Still in department 82 and not too far from Lauzerte, we were asked to create an undulating trellis with archway through, to provide some privacy to a pool and terrace area.

The arch is set in place first. It frames a lovely view over the rolling hills beyond. Note the necessary 'tools of the trade' on this worksite!

Coming indoors now and just before Christmas 2017, a complex and large undertaking. A contemporary bookcase or 'bibliothèque'. The whole structure was made in the workshop and then carefully cut into two halves to enable easier entry into the room and then re-assembled. Careful logistical preparation was required!

The 'bare bones' frame of the bibliothèque in the workshop. Wooden shelves were made to measure and then inserted into the frame once it was in place.
