Pergolas in metal, transforming lives and outdoor spaces.

Commissions in 2018 have included railings, handrails inside and outside, a metal framed door, a staircase, terrace railings, signs as well as some interesting renovation projects. A varied year once again.

Metal pergolas have been particularly popular this year and with good reason. All the pergolas we have installed have changed dramatically and positively the way clients use their outdoor spaces.

Pergolas in metal are strong but light and elegant looking so they don’t block views in and out of the area.

They provide an additional, useable outdoor living space and with the provision of shade cover of the natural or textile kind they can be used during the long, lovely and often very hot spring, summer and autumn months here in South West France, when temperatures can reach the high 30° centigrade.

We were commissioned to fabricate and install four metal pergolas of different designs during 2018.

The feedback this year we have had from clients once their pergolas were installed often included the phrase

‘the pergola has transformed my life…..’

meaning that the outdoor space is now being used to its maximum.

That even if the weather turns rainy and stormy, there is no rush to get inside as the covering protects them.

That on the sunniest of days they can still use the space and be comfortably shaded.

That in winter they can take off the shade cover and still enjoy any sunshine to the maximum.

Here’s another pergola that earned the phrase

‘it has transformed my life’.

Two more pergolas were commissioned by clients for the same reasons. A way to use an outdoor space that without the shade cover of a pergola would otherwise be a lost, unusable, dead space during the long hot summer months.

The owners of this bijou second home need to make sure every inch of space is used to accommodate all their family when they visit. An excellent idea to add a metal pergola and railings on this terrace to create shaded outdoor dining space.

The fourth pergola we installed has an interesting dip in the roof line in order to provide the maximum shading on the south facing side.

The cable and tensioner roof provides support for the fast growing trumpet vine and grape vines that will be trained over it.

Fabrication of the changes in slope of the roof was quite complicated but ensures that the maximum shade from the sun is achieved whilst still maintaining a good head height beneath.

If you are thinking about doing something about that unusable outdoor space in 2019 then please get in touch with us to discuss the possibilities for a metal pergola which could

‘transform your life’.

We are based in the Lot, Department 46 but we do work in departments 19, 15,12,82, 47 and 24.
