We undertake a vast range of artistic and unique ironwork commissions for home and garden. Hand made and hand forged with intricate precision, each piece is an individual and unparalleled creation.

Sublime Gothic Balcony in old Cahors

Stunning, gothic style balcony overlooking the river Lot in old Cahors.
Fronting a spacious apartment in a converted church that was once a convent, the balcony design reflects the curving arch of the doorway and beautifully frames the view to the street.

Sensational contemporary balustrade in a traditional French château

Following the curves of a fine, marble staircase in this pretty château, the detail on the spindles lifts the balustrade and handrail out of the ordinary. The flowing design of the balustrade follows the curving shape of the stairs and is beautifully finished with a hand forged detail around the newel post.

Stylish Pergola for a perfect riverside setting

Classically simple by design, this pergola of impressive dimensions creates a spacious outdoor dining and entertaining area. Featuring signature 4-square pillar details the pergola is at once given strength and elegance whilst maintaining an airy feel. The pergola is ideally sited to maintain the unique view over the stunning river Ouysse.

Flamboyant Art Deco marquise

Geometric and bold, this glass-topped structure adds a lavish touch to the entrance of this beautifully renovated, hill top home. Its strong and modern style makes a confident statement but blends beautifully with the traditional design of the house.

Eye-catching double gates for rustic countryside scene

Striking contemporary double gates that charmingly compliment the style and décor of this beautiful hotel in the heart of the Lot department. Swooping curves and exquisite finishing touches help these gates to fit perfectly into their idyllic setting.

Elegant, mystical and detailed sculpture for a unique commision

Remarkable and fantastical she dragon sculpture standing nearly 1 meter tall. Handmade, intricate detailing to form the metal scales and to sculpt the wings. A blue-black finish adds authenticity to the texture of the dragon’s wings, scales and tail.

About

Banner Photo The craftsman at work.jpg

With more than 20 years of experience working with metal, we design, fabricate, frequently hand forge and fit wrought iron work to order, to suit your needs. In business in South West France since 2005 and with a growing customer base, we are more than happy to discuss your project, whether it be large or small, complex or simple, traditional or contemporary.

The ironwork we undertake generally falls into the following areas

Bespoke wrought ironwork for individuals - pergolas, gates, railings, balconies, stairs, balustrades…

Wrought ironwork commissions for communes - well covers, artistic markers for sites of interest, signs for community buildings, handrails…

Artistic Creations and Commissions in Metal - sculptures, garden ornaments, water features….

We have an extensive catalogue of examples of past ironwork installations. We can only include a limited number on this website but many more can be viewed when we meet you in person.

We like to work with your design ideas in the first instance - a simple sketch of your idea, a photo of something you like, a magazine clipping of a style that appeals. These help us to better create a design for your ironwork that responds to your needs.

All things are possible so please get in touch with us for an initial discussion about your project and its feasibility. We may be able to turn your ideas into reality!

How to proceed

If you are unsure of all the details of your project and you are not really ready for a visit at this point, then we can provide an initial ball park figure for you to consider, once we are given some minimum information such as approximate dimensions, design, finish, where it is to be sited etc.

If the figure falls within your budget and is in tune with your design ideas, we can then organise a follow up visit to discuss your project more precisely and to take measurements. (Please see the information below on visits). After this, we will provide you with a detailed drawing and a firm estimate.

Alternatively, you may wish to contact us directly to request and organise a visit to discuss your project.

Visits

We offer a free visit and a free estimate if you live in the Lot, Department 46.

We make a 50€ + TVA charge for a visit to you if you live outside the Lot, but this is refundable should you then place an order with us. The estimate is free.

If, after any discussions and/or modifications to the drawing(s), the design and the estimate are acceptable, then we ask that you sign one copy of the estimate, keeping one for yourself and return it to us with the required deposit.
